Is your app affected by CVE-2022-39366?

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Cursor or any AI coding tool: it runs a free Shippable scan of your project and fixes what it finds. Built with Lovable, Bolt or v0? Scan your live app. Or upload your package file.

Who is affected

  • acryl-datahub (PyPI) < 0.8.45

How to check

  1. Run pip show acryl-datahub in your project to see the installed version, including copies pulled in by other packages.
  2. Or paste your lockfile into the checker: it lists every package with a known vulnerability, this one included.
  3. Or run npx shippable-dev scan localhost:3000 in your project folder. It reads your lockfile and flags this vulnerability along with every other known one.

How to fix

Copies a prompt for Claude Code, Cursor or Codex: it checks your lockfiles for this and upgrades it.
  1. Upgrade acryl-datahub to 0.8.45 or later, commit the lockfile and redeploy.
  2. If a vulnerable version was live, check your logs and rotate the secrets that server could read.

The advisory

# Missing JWT signature check (`GHSL-2022-078`) The [`StatelessTokenService`](https://github.com/datahub-project/datahub/blob/aa146db611e3a4ca3aa17bb740783f789d4444d3/metadata-service/auth-impl/src/main/java/com/datahub/authentication/token/StatelessTokenService.java#L30) of the DataHub metadata service (GMS) does not verify the signature of JWT tokens. This allows an attacker to connect to DataHub instances as any user if Metadata Service authentication is enabled. This vulnerability occurs because the `StatelessTokenService` of the Metadata service uses the [`parse`](https://github.com/datahub-project/datahub/blob/aa146db611e3a4ca3aa17bb740783f789d4444d3/metadata-service/auth-impl/src/main/java/com/datahub/authentication/token/StatelessTokenService.java#L134) method of `io.jsonwebtoken.JwtParser`, which does not perform a verification of the cryptographic token signature. This means that JWTs are accepted regardless of the used algorithm. #### Impact This issue may lead to an authentication bypass. #### Resources * [CodeQL: Missing JWT signature check](https://codeql.github.com/codeql-query-help/java/java-missing-jwt-signature-check/)

Check your whole app

Dependencies are only half of it. Free and read-only: before you push, run npx shippable-dev scan localhost:3000 in your project folder, no account needed. For your live app, you prove it's yours with a one-line tag first.
