Terms of use
Short version: only scan apps you own or may test, a scan is a check and not a guarantee, and we keep Shippable read-only.
Last updated 15 October 2026.
Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Shippable, a company of Rodolfo Egarter in Brazil, which runs Shippable (shippable.dev, the shippable-dev CLI and its MCP server). By using Shippable you agree to them. If you use it for a company, you agree for that company.
Scan only what you're allowed to
- Only scan apps you own or have written permission to test. Scanning someone else's app can be illegal where you or they are.
- Don't try to get around the ownership check, the fair-use limits or a host's bot protection, and don't use Shippable to attack, overload or get into anyone's systems.
- You're responsible for how you use Shippable and what you do with its results.
What Shippable does, and doesn't
- Scans only read. They never change your app or its data.
- A scan checks for known kinds of problems. It can miss issues and can be wrong, so "no issues found" is not a guarantee your app is secure. It is not a penetration test or a security audit.
- Fix prompts are suggestions. Review what your AI tool changes before you ship it.
Free use, limits and paid features
- Your first app is free. Each extra app is $1 a month, with unlimited scans and watch included. Website scans have a fair-use limit; the CLI and MCP server have none.
- The other paid features aren't live yet. When they are, prices and spending caps will be on the pricing page, and you'll set a cap before anything is charged.
- We may change or stop features, and we may block use that breaks these terms.
The CLI's license
The shippable-dev package is licensed under Apache-2.0. That license covers the code, not the Shippable name or the Patchy mascot.
Liability
Shippable is provided as is, without warranties. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for security incidents in apps you scan, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (zero if you only used the free tier). Nothing here limits rights you have that the law doesn't let us limit, including consumer rights.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and for big changes we'll tell signed-in users by email. These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Questions: hello@shippable.dev. How we handle data is in the privacy policy.
